Chapter of the Year Award-Winning Submissions

Each year, the ACFE receives nearly two dozen submissions for the Chapter of the Year award. Each chapter that submits a nomination makes a good case of why they should be considered for the annual award. The chapters share their accomplishments over the past year, strategies that have helped build their membership, interesting events they held, and more.

Upon reading each submission, I know it must be extremely difficult to select one winner out of these stellar chapters. Our Chapter Leaders Committee is chosen for this challenging task. Even if your chapter does not plan on submitting a nomination for the award, when the nomination period opens again in January, I encourage you to review the survey so you can see for yourself what the leaders are looking for when selecting a winner.

I also feel it’s extremely useful for chapters to share their accomplishments with their fellow chapters. Other chapters can get new ideas and build off the achievements of their peers. I am extremely grateful that this year’s Chapter of the Year winner, the Central Ohio Chapter, and last year’s winner, the Houston Area Chapter, have each agreed to share their nomination forms.

For those chapters who have ever wondered what a chapter did to win the award, now is your opportunity to see what the winning chapters accomplished over the past year and potentially adopt some of their strategies to help grow your own chapter.
